Leaf Your Health to Us: Keeping Your Immune System Strong
We are officially heading into one of our favorite times of the year. The leaves are piling up on the ground, there’s a slight nip in the air (even with San Diego’s gorgeous November weather), and it’s almost that time when American’s stuff their faces with delicious holiday food!
Our office always seems to get super busy just before the holidays. We haven’t figured out exactly why, but if we had to guess, we’d say that it’s because most people want to continue enjoying vibrant health throughout the holiday season.
If you’ve been a patient of ours for awhile, you probably already know that getting your nervous system checked is one of the best ways to boost your immune system so that your body can ward off all those nasty little germs you’re coming into contact with each day.
There are volumes of research supporting the link between the immune system and the nervous system, which is directly affected by a chiropractic adjustment or entrainment.
We’ve noticed an indirect relationship in our office between the number of patients who stay healthy and the number of visits they miss. What do we mean by that? We see first hand that the more adjustments/entrainments a practice member gets, the less likely they are to experience illness. Again, confirming that people stay healthy when the spine is properly aligned and the nervous system is communicating normally with all of the other body systems. Just some food for thought!
