Did you know October is a month to get organized?
Well, let’s use this opportunity to embrace that proactive mindset. So here are our quick tips to organize your life, no matter how busy (or disorganized) you are!
Tip 1: Write everything down
We all forget an appointment here and an item from our shopping list there. Writing things down can help you to keep in control of pretty much everything.
Tip 2: Create a schedule at the start of the week
We all probably remember the essential things we need every day, like getting the kids to school and going to work. However, we forget the little links in between. So create a schedule at the start of the week that includes everything on one page.
Tip 3: Give everything a home
How much time do you waste looking for a pen or a remote? Get in the habit of giving every item a set place when you’re not using it. This will minimize the time you spend searching for small items while keeping your stress levels down throughout the day.
Tip 4: Clear it out
We all have items in our homes that we don’t need or want anymore. Decluttering your home can help you to organize your life and regain control of everything else in your home. Try to clear out items annually, so you can enjoy what you genuinely love in your home.
Tip 5: Delegate
Our life gets disorganized when we try to take on all of life’s challenges alone. So instead, try to delegate some tasks and responsibilities to your family. It could be as small as collecting the mail each day or placing the dishes in the dishwasher.
