St. Patrick's Day Smoothie

St. Patrick’s Day isn’t all about green beer, booze, and sugar. Instead, there are a lot of healthy green alternatives that can show your festive Irish spirit while also getting some nutrition in on March 17th! By whipping up some indulgent alternatives, you can avoid the sugary shamrock shakes and other usual offenders you see around this festival.

Matcha is an awesome and natural ingredient that turns everything a little green, from matcha lattes to smoothies – there are a lot of fun options to explore. Here’s one of our favorites.

What you need:

  • 20 oz can pineapple chunks in juice
  • Fresh spinach (a handful)
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp Matcha powder

Instructions:

Add the pineapple and juice into a blender with spinach, ice, and matcha. Blend it up until it’s smooth. Serve with a shamrock on the side!
